Adolescent
Therapy
We currently do not offer therapy for children as we are a completely virtual practice and we notice that virtual sessions for children under 13 years old could be difficult to conduct. Our practice does offer therapy to ages 13 and up. We do however, take confidentiality very seriously and would appreciate that the adolescent has a space/ allocated time that ensures the most confidentiality for their individual sessions. This not only helps with securing confidentiality, but also with building rapport and trust in the therapeutic relationship.

There may be times that a parent may be asked to join in a collaborative session with their adolescent to address any of the adolescent's or parent's concerns as well as learn ways to best help meet the needs of the adolescent. Usually the therapist will not initiate collaborative sessions until the therapist has spoken to the adolescent about this and went over any concerns leading up to the collaborative session.
